In 2022, Hong Kong. Co-founders Andy (seasoned entrepreneur) and Charlene (sustainable product designer) saw the persistent problem with their cat Gulu: bentonite clay litter crumbled, trapped odors, and released harmful dust that irritated his system—mirroring issues for many city pets in polluted environments. "We refused to settle for anything less than the best for Gulu," Andy recalls. "Charlene and I knew we had to innovate something safe, breathable, and truly pet-first."

That year, GuluPet was born. Named after their curious, purring companion whose adventures symbolized the joy they aimed to protect. Andy handled strategic sourcing and partnerships, while Charlene led design for intuitive, eco-friendly packaging. Working with Japanese bio-tech experts, they developed a Bio-Enzyme Cat Litter – durable granules that neutralize 99% of odors and bacteria at the source, dust‑free and respiratory‑safe. they established production in China to blend efficiency with quality.

Launched first in Hong Kong pet stores, GuluPet quickly earned loyal fans and partnerships. Today, we're a growing community built on one belief: pet‑first, no exception.

GuluPet evolved beyond litter into a comprehensive ecosystem for busy urban pet parents, inspired by Andy and Charlene's own schedules. Building on the core enzyme tech, the lineup expanded to Pet Wipes for quick, antibacterial cleaning and absorbent Pet Pads that lock in moisture without leaks.
